WHAT IS ALPHA? The Alpha course is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith. Its relaxed, non-threatening, low key. friendly and fun. There is a meal together at the beginning of each session which gives you an opportunity to get to know each other. Listen, learn, discuss and discover. And ask anything. Alpha is a place where no question is too simple or too hostile.

Imagine no more!! This is Bethany Christian Centre in Houghton-le-Spring, a Church of which you can be a vital part. We exist to glorify God and serve Him. We are so grateful for all that He has done in the past, and wish to praise and thank Him for His many blessings. But as we do so, we also want to dedicate ourselves to follow Him as we look to the future.
“I know the plans I have for you” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you, to give you hope and a future”. (Jeremiah 29). So we, as God’s people, “press on towards the goal to win the prize for which God has called us heavenwards in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 3). What a thrilling future we will have, if we fully trust our Lord and Saviour.
