Childrens and Youth activities...
...are a big part of what we do at Bethany Christian Centre. All our events are staffed by volunteers who give their time to ensure children and young people can have fun and enjoy themselves in a safe environment. Listed on this page are details of the clubs and activities we run on a weekly basis. It is not a complete list as we regularly organise additional events. On Sundays:
Sunday School Sunday School is there to help children grow in their knowledge and understanding of the Christian faith. The children usually leave the main service following a time of all-age worship. Visiting children are of course very welcome to join them. A dedicated team of volunteers use a range of activities to teach the children in small groups relevant to their age. A crèche is also available for children under two.
The ROCK Bible-based teaching for secondary school age. This session takes place simultaneously to the main teaching slot in the main service and usually tackles the same topic, but filtered through a youth lens. Through a variety of methods and media, the Bible passage is explored and applied giving families the opportunities to discuss what they’ve learned over Sunday lunch!
Youth Services Sunday @ 6 This is the petrol station for the younger Christian! Come and get refueled spiritually for the week ahead. Worship God with lively songs, share and hear other’s stories of what God’s doing, and hear some Bible teaching to sustain you through your busy schedule.
During the week:
The JAM

Youth Small Group
The youth bible study group exists for teenagers who want to get a better handle on their Bible knowledge. Through a fun and relaxed approach, students will learn how the Bible is not a dusty old book with nothing to say to them, but actually is jumping off their shelves, packed full of relevant stuff for the young person of today The group meets each Wednesday evening the last of the month during term times between 7 and 8:30
The LOFT
Each Friday during term time from 730 – 9:30 pm, The Loft is an open youth club where there is space to listen to music, dance, play football, play darts or pool, eat or just relax and chat to friends or leaders. The evening has an evangelistic edge with the gospel shared through weekly presentation and friendship evangelism.
